Elektree India is committed to designing, manufacturing, delivering and supporting safe, reliable, high-performance and environmentally responsible electric scooters and electric bikes that meet or exceed customer expectations, statutory and regulatory requirements, applicable automotive standards, and the company’s own quality benchmarks.Quality at Elektree India means rider safety, product dependability, consistent performance, responsible innovation, and a superior ownership experience across the full product lifecycle.We will build quality into every stage of our business—from product strategy, design, engineering validation, supplier selection, battery pack safety, manufacturing, inspection, logistics, sales, service, warranty management and continuous field improvement.This policy provides the framework for establishing quality objectives, reviewing performance, preventing defects, reducing variation, improving processes, and strengthening customer trust.
2. Quality Vision
To make Elektree India a trusted benchmark for safe, durable, efficient and customer-centric electric mobility products in India by embedding a culture of quality, accountability, compliance and continual improvement across the organization.
3. Core Quality Principles
- Customer First: Understand the expectations of riders, dealers, fleet operators and service partners, and convert those expectations into measurable product and service requirements.
- Safety by Design: Ensure that vehicle, battery, charger, electrical, mechanical and software systems are engineered and validated to minimize safety risks under Indian road, climate and usage conditions.
- Compliance Without Compromise: Meet applicable legal, statutory, regulatory, homologation and customer-specific requirements, including relevant electric vehicle and battery safety standards.

4. Scope of the Quality Policy
This policy applies to all Elektree India functions, locations, employees, contractors and business partners involved in product planning, research and development, engineering, procurement, supplier quality, manufacturing, assembly, battery integration, testing, warehousing, logistics, sales, dealership operations, service, warranty, customer support and continuous improvement activities related to electric scooters, electric bikes and associated components.
5. Leadership Commitments
- Provide strategic direction, resources, infrastructure and competent people required to implement and maintain an effective quality management system.
- Establish measurable quality objectives aligned with business goals, product safety, customer satisfaction and regulatory compliance.
- Promote a culture where every employee is responsible for quality and is empowered to stop, escalate or correct an issue that may affect safety, compliance or customer experience.
- Review quality performance periodically using key indicators such as defect rates, warranty trends, audit results, field failures, supplier quality, customer complaints, service turnaround time and corrective action closure.
- Ensure quality risks are evaluated during business planning, new product development, supplier onboarding and production ramp-up.
6. Product Quality and Safety Requirements
Elektree India shall define, verify and validate product requirements for performance, durability, electrical safety, mechanical integrity, ride comfort, braking, lighting, thermal behavior, water ingress protection, charging safety, battery management, software reliability and usability.Electric vehicle battery safety shall receive special focus because Indian EV regulations require rigorous traction battery safety controls, including protections against overcharge, over-discharge, short circuit, thermal events and environmental stresses under applicable standards such as AIS-156 for L-category electric vehicles.Every new model, variant, battery pack, charger, controller, motor or critical component change shall be subject to structured design review, validation testing, regulatory assessment, production readiness review and controlled release before customer delivery.
7. Quality Management System
Elektree India shall establish, implement, maintain and continually improve a quality management system aligned with recognized quality management principles and the requirements of ISO 9001:2015, including customer focus, leadership, engagement of people, process approach, evidence-based decision-making, relationship management and continual improvement.The quality management system shall include documented procedures, work instructions, quality plans, inspection standards, calibration controls, traceability records, nonconformance controls, internal audits, management reviews, corrective and preventive actions, engineering change controls and document control practices appropriate to Elektree India’s operations.
8. Supplier and Incoming Quality
Suppliers of batteries, cells, battery management systems, chargers, controllers, motors, wiring harnesses, braking systems, tyres, suspension parts, frames, plastics, fasteners and other critical components shall be selected and monitored based on quality capability, technical competence, compliance status, delivery performance, traceability, change control and responsiveness to corrective actions.Incoming materials shall be inspected or verified according to risk-based criteria. Critical characteristics shall be controlled through approved specifications, certificates of conformity, test reports, inspection records, lot traceability and supplier performance reviews.
9. Manufacturing and Process Quality
Manufacturing and assembly processes shall be planned, controlled and monitored to ensure consistent product quality. Elektree India shall use process flow diagrams, control plans, standard operating procedures, trained operators, calibrated tools, approved jigs and fixtures, torque controls, electrical testing, functional checks, end-of-line inspection and safe handling practices for batteries and high-energy components.Any nonconforming product shall be identified, segregated, investigated and dispositioned through approved controls. Rework, repair and concessions shall be authorized only by competent personnel and documented for traceability.
10. Battery, Charging and Electrical Safety
- Battery packs shall be sourced, assembled, tested, stored and transported under defined safety and traceability controls.
- Battery management systems shall monitor and protect against unsafe operating conditions, including voltage, current, temperature, short circuit and abnormal charging conditions.
- Charging systems shall be validated for compatibility, insulation, connector safety, user instructions and protection against misuse.
- Thermal management, ingress protection and mechanical mounting shall be verified under expected Indian operating conditions, including heat, rain, dust, vibration, road shock and variable charging environments.
- Field incidents related to battery, charger or electrical safety shall be treated as high-priority quality events requiring immediate containment, investigation, root cause analysis and corrective action.
11. Customer Experience, Service and Field Quality
Elektree India shall monitor customer satisfaction through dealer feedback, service data, warranty claims, complaints, roadside assistance data, social listening, fleet operator feedback and repeat issue analysis.Service quality shall be managed through trained technicians, standard diagnostic procedures, genuine parts, service manuals, repair quality checks and timely resolution of customer concerns.Field failures shall be analyzed using structured methods such as containment, root cause analysis, corrective action, preventive action and effectiveness verification. Lessons learned shall be fed back into design, supplier quality, manufacturing, service training and customer communication.
