6. Inclusive Warranty Benefits

7. Conditions for Warranty Validity
- The charger must be purchased from Elektree or an authorized Elektree dealer, distributor, showroom, or approved online sales channel.
- The customer must retain a valid tax invoice, delivery challan, warranty card, or digital warranty registration record.
- The charger serial number, model number, rating label, and QR code must not be removed, altered, tampered with, or defaced.
- The charger must be used only with compatible Elektree-approved vehicles, batteries, connectors, adapters, and accessories.
- The charger must be connected to an electrical supply that meets the charger’s rated input requirements and applicable safety norms.
- Installation, if required, must be performed by Elektree, an Elektree-authorized technician, or a qualified electrician using proper earthing, circuit protection, and electrical safety practices.
- The customer must stop using the charger immediately if there is smoke, burning smell, abnormal heating, spark, shock, melted connector, physical damage, or abnormal noise.
8. Installation and Electrical Safety Requirements
EV chargers draw sustained electrical load and must be used with safe wiring, proper earthing, suitable socket rating, overload protection, short-circuit protection, and residual current protection wherever applicable. For home, showroom, dealer, workshop, fleet, and commercial locations, Elektree recommends a dedicated charging point installed by a qualified electrician. Outdoor installations must use weather-protected sockets, safe cable routing, and enclosures appropriate for dust and water exposure.
9. What Is Not Covered
- Damage caused by misuse, negligence, intentional damage, mishandling, rough use, impact, dropping, crushing, bending, or transportation abuse.
- Damage caused by water ingress, flooding, rain exposure, excessive humidity, dust, chemicals, rodents, insects, fire, lightning, flood, earthquake, or other external events beyond normal use.
- Damage caused by power surge, voltage fluctuation, reverse polarity, loose wiring, improper earthing, shared overloaded socket, generator supply instability, inverter incompatibility, or non-compliant wiring.
- Use with non-Elektree batteries, non-approved vehicles, third-party adapters, extension boards, multi-plugs, modified sockets, or unauthorized connectors.
- Opening, repair, modification, tampering, bypassing safety components, firmware alteration, or service performed by unauthorized persons.
- Cosmetic wear, scratches, fading, labels, discoloration, stains, cable marks, or minor enclosure damage that does not affect charging function.
- Consumable or wear-and-tear parts such as external cable sheath wear, plug wear, connector pin wear, or socket wear caused by normal usage, unless failure is proven to be due to manufacturing defect.
- Loss or theft of charger, cable, connector, adapter, warranty card, invoice, or accessories.
- Damage arising from commercial overuse beyond rated duty cycle, continuous operation outside design limits, or use in public charging without Elektree’s prior approval.
- Consequential losses including loss of business, loss of travel time, towing cost, accommodation, alternate charging cost, vehicle downtime, loss of income, or indirect damages, except where required by applicable law.
10. Warranty Claim Process
- Customer must report the issue to Elektree customer care, nearest authorized showroom, dealer, distributor, or service centre.
- Customer must provide invoice copy, charger serial number, product model, vehicle registration or chassis number where applicable, photographs or videos of the issue, and a description of usage conditions.
- Elektree or its authorized representative will perform preliminary verification and may request the customer to submit the charger for inspection.
- The charger will be diagnosed by Elektree or an authorized service provider to determine whether the failure is covered under warranty.
- If the claim is approved, Elektree will repair or replace the defective charger or component within a reasonable service timeline, subject to parts availability and logistics.
- If the claim is rejected, Elektree will provide the reason for rejection and may offer chargeable repair or replacement, where feasible.

- Escalate safety-related charger complaints immediately to Elektree technical support.
12. Repair, Replacement, and Refurbished Units
Elektree may repair the charger, replace defective parts, or replace the charger with an equivalent new, refurbished, or serviceable unit. Replacement units may not be identical in colour, design, or minor cosmetic appearance but will be functionally equivalent or better. Any defective part or charger replaced under warranty will become the property of Elektree.
13. Fleet, Commercial, and Institutional Usage
For fleet operators, delivery partners, rental operators, institutional buyers, dealers using chargers for demonstration, or distributors using chargers for service operations, warranty will apply only when chargers are used within rated specifications, duty cycle, approved installation conditions, and documented maintenance practices. Elektree may define separate commercial warranty terms for high-usage, public charging, battery-swapping, or special deployment models through written agreement.
14. Customer Safety Obligations
- Use the charger only as per the user manual and rating label.
- Do not charge near flammable materials, water accumulation, direct rain exposure, or poorly ventilated areas.
- Do not use damaged sockets, loose plugs, cut cables, melted connectors, or exposed wires.
- Do not use extension boards or multi-plugs unless expressly approved by Elektree.
- Unplug the charger when not in use and keep it away from children and pets.
- Immediately stop usage and contact Elektree support if abnormal heating, smell, smoke, spark, melting, electrical shock, or repeated tripping occurs.

16. Warranty Transferability
The charger warranty is linked to the product serial number and valid purchase record. If the vehicle or charger is resold, the remaining warranty may be transferred to the subsequent owner only if original proof of purchase, serial number, and product condition are verified by Elektree or its authorized representative.
17. Out-of-Warranty Support
After expiry of warranty or in cases of warranty exclusion, Elektree may offer paid diagnosis, paid repair, replacement charger, or accessory replacement subject to feasibility, parts availability, product age, and safety assessment. Elektree may refuse repair where the charger is unsafe, heavily damaged, tampered with, obsolete, or not economical to repair.
18. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Elektree’s liability under this policy is limited to repair, replacement, or refund of the charger value as determined by Elektree. Elektree will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, punitive, or special damages, including loss of income, business interruption, travel inconvenience, vehicle downtime, third-party claims, or damage arising due to unsafe electrical infrastructure, misuse, or unauthorized modification.
19. Statutory Rights and Consumer Protection
This policy does not limit any rights available to customers under applicable Indian consumer protection laws. If any provision of this policy conflicts with mandatory legal requirements, the applicable law will prevail to the extent of such conflict.
20. Warranty Claim Documents
- Original tax invoice or digital purchase record.
- Warranty card or digital warranty registration confirmation, if available.
- Charger serial number, model number, and rating label photograph.

The warranty policy applicable at the time of purchase will generally apply to that product unless a later policy is expressly made applicable by Elektree for customer benefit.
